Obtaining a visa for Canada is not that difficult if you have the right information. Basically, you need to be a citizen of a country that requires a passport and the validity of the passport is at least three months. For those who are not citizens of a country, you will need a valid D type visa. This can be obtained from a non-profit organization.

Documents required

Using the right document at the right time is a big part of getting a Canadian visa. If you are planning a visit, it is a good idea to find out what documents are required before you leave home.

Types of visas available

Until December 2017, Bulgarian and Chilean citizens must obtain a CANADA VISA FOR BULGARIAN CITIZENS & CANADA VISA FOR CHILE CITIZENS  to enter Canada. After this date, some citizens will no longer require a visa, and others will require a visitor visa. However, some Brazilians will still need to have a visa, even if they are traveling from the United States to Canada.

Bulgaria is not a member of the Schengen zone, but it is working towards a visa-free regime for its citizens within the zone. The government has announced that it intends to lift the requirement for Bulgarian and Romanian citizens on December 1, 2017.

For travel purposes, Bulgaria issues a short-stay visa, also known as a C visa. It is usually issued for tourism or business, but is also available for transit or medical reasons. The maximum length of time that this visa is valid for is one year.

Countries requiring passports with a validity of at least 3 months

Having a valid passport is a requirement for traveling abroad. Although the requirements vary from country to country, a standard passport should have a validity of at least six months.

While most countries will not allow entry to visitors with an expired passport, some airlines will not board passengers with less than six months of passport validity. It’s best to renew your passport before you depart for your trip.

Non-profit organizations may obtain D-type visas

Those who want to study in Bulgaria need to provide proof of private health insurance, a photocopy of their flight ticket, a copy of the Ministry of Education Bulgaria certificate, and an original certificate of police clearance. If they are planning to drive a car, they must also provide a copy of their driver’s license, a certificate of a Bulgarian motor vehicle license, and an original certificate of registration. They must also have a minimum amount of money to cover daily expenses.
